Let's make a quick price comparison:

Comparing the D7000 to the 60D:
D7000 body only: $1200
60D body only: $1100
Difference: $100 more

D7000 with kit lens 18-105: $1500
60D with kit lens 18-135: $1400
Difference: $100 more

Comparing the D7000 to the 7D:
D7000 body only: $1100
7D body only: $1529
Difference: $329 less

D7000 with kit lens 18-135: $1500
7D with kit lens 28-135: $1700
Difference: $200 less

So, purely based on price, the D7000 is targeted more towards the 60D. Of course, the body only option is priced $300 lower compared to the kit option, just like the 60D is, making it a sweet deal.

@pappu, the D90 does not have AF Fine Tune. I use a D90 only. It's only today, when people on other forums were rejoicing about the addition of AF Fine Tuning in the D7000, did I realise something like that exists. I was completely unaware of it. And, I've just googled and checked, the D90 doesn't have it. I don't really know much about the feature though. I think you're talking about the built in AF motor which the D90 already has. AF Fine Tune is something different.
AF fine tune refers to adjustment for back or front focusing lenses.
BTW, there is a 500$ MIR available for the 7D at B&H..
Canon EOS 7D SLR Digital Camera (Body Only) 3814B004 - B&H Photo

Thats a pretty useless MIR running for quite a while on most mid-higher end Canons.

Think there might be more takers for 50D rather than 60D.

Bah, keep the camera, it has a lot to offer. Get a hang of other fine aspects of photography, once you think the body is holding you back, get a full frame :) I am yet of the belief good lenses are more important than the body....

Who wants to buy my d80 :p

^ i think so too.. the d80 is a very capable camera. if you feel that the body is holding you back, you should wait either for the D300s upgrade or the D700 upgrade. if not, its better to get some good lenses instead!
