Bro in US is coming down here....he needs to buy a couple of DS' for relatives....need information on play *ahem* games, and what all i should get..etc etc....

Any one to guide to buy NDS ?
 
get an nds lite, not the old one.

you need a flashcart to play pirated games and run homebrew. it's widely accepted that the cyclods evolution is the best one around but it's priced at a premium. cheaper alternatives are the r4 and m3 ds line of cards. you can get all the information you want about them at gbatemp.net. you'll also need microsd cards for the flashcarts.
