A lot of people have had troubles connecting their nvidia to TV
, Nvidia won't reply because this is a general problem w/o a general solution  . Here are two workarounds to help you out :hap2: . Also if you find any other solution please do post.
Solution 1 :-
Pros -->Just one cheap cable required.
Cons --> Graphics drivers won't initialize.
You need a S-video to RCA cable (yellow end)
1) Insert the s-video side in the graphics card.
2) Boot up the boot screen will show as always quickly press F8.
you will be taken to the advanced boot menu.
Choose safe mode (XP and vista)
OR
VGA mode (XP)
windows should display. You cannot play games but can watch videos and movies.
Note :- It is adivsed to stick to single user profile because you won't see the user login screen @ windows startup. But if u are a experienced user you can select the user ( press tab and the first profile is chosen hit down arrow and you can select the second profile then press enter).
Solution 2:
Pros: Graphics drivers will work.
Cons: Dicey. U need a little bit hit and tria experience also if u have a different cable.
U need a s-video to RCA cable ( red white and yellow)
Note: Tested on vista only.
Connect both monitor and TV to the comp.
Put s-video in the card.
For the comp.
Do NOT connect to the RCA in. Instead searc for the DVD-IN (RGB in)
insert in the order yellow in Y, red in Pb and white in Pr.
Disable TV in bios (if u have)
Switch on
You will see the boot screen
As u see the windows (on monitor), the display of the TV will be gone.
Go to nvidia CP.
Select manage multiple display and choose "configure both displays individually"
DO NOT SELECT "TV detection"
If all is good The NVIDIA should say "HDTV" even though u have a CRT
Then go to the output format section.
There are 2 options in the frop down menu choose RGB (even tough u have connected RCA) 480i SDTV if it doesnt work try 480p SDTV.
If u see only 1 option that is composite in the drop down then u have messed it up somewhere try reebooting w/o connecting the tv wire at bootup and connect when logging in.
The whole Idea is to force NVIDIA to give RBG format output and for you to somehow make the RCA work as RGB.
After selecting RGB in menu display should work
U still can't play games but u can run a PS2 emulator this is because no game other than emulators run @ 29 Hz refresh rate.
If you have S-video to RGB then life is easy just connect it and choose RGB.
Hope it helps.
