Nivyah Broadband on Ubuntu 9.0.4

Well Folks, I am almost a noob to Linux and am hoping to get my Nivyah Broadband connection working on Ubuntu 9.0.4 . Presently I have a dual boot setup with Win XP and Ubuntu.

It is a direct LAN connection to my Laptop (No router/Modem), and I use windows (XP Pro SP2) to connect to the provider through a PPPoE connection using my ID/PW combination ......

Any help would be much appreciated.

If its a DSL using PPPoE, then try the following

Graphics method:

Right click the NetworkManager icon in system trya and click Edit connections.

Click DSL.

Click Add.

Alternative

To Setup PPPoE connection, using by this command in terminal. just follow onscreen promts and you should be good to go.

sudo pppoeconf
