Storage Solutions No Audio from DVD Writer

Hi Guys, i am Ritesh frm Thane, i installed a PC with a D945GCCR Board and a 3.0 CPU with a DVD Writer etc, now alls working fine its just that when i play a movie or a audio frm the DVD Drive there is no Sound, other sounds are perfect when played from the PC, its just that the there is no sound when a DVD or a CD is played in the drive, Also there is no slot for a Audio cable on the board and the Digital Sound option is enabled in the DVD Drive property.
Plz help me Guys.

Have you connect your soundcard to the DVD drive ??

By soundcard, it could mean onboard sound or a separate sound card.

There has to be a port on the motherboard to which you can connect the Audio cable from the DVD writer.

Dude, like I said install the Klite codec pack, that'll install the missing codecs, especially install AC3 filter from there.

Use latest version of Winamp for Audio CD's, I am pretty sure they have native support for Audio CD's now.
