No output from HDMI port, PS3(old) 40GB model.

Problem: I get video output from the composite or component cables but not from the HDMI output and it used to work!
I am facing this irritating problem since 1 month, that i am not able to get output from the HDMI port, however composite cables work..

... but still its not working.

Doing some research reveals that this issue is occured due to some HDCP system of PS3 to go bad. but i couldn't find soultions to this :(
Please, If anyone else here faced simmilar problem could help me up.

Also, I had tried going to sony authorized service center, but they were unable to understand my problem even after lots of explaination.
so, if someone can help me with local repair professionals, or someone who can fix my ps3, i would be thankful.

PS: I am experianced with working with circuits and ICs so if there is DIY possible then also it would be helpful.

I have changed the port of a ps3 and it was working again .Its an extremely difficult thing to do .May be i can fix it for u too.
 
im dead sure its some hardware problem.. anyone has idea where can i buy spares for ps3 :-s most possibely at nagpur.
 
i am sure you have tried resetting the PS3 by holding the power button !

The same thing happened with me , but with Composite cable. i could not get a diplay! :(

i resetted 5-6 times no help.

then i replaced the power cable and re inserted the component cable on the back, ...reset .... it did the trick . so one of these solved it !

( note that earlier, i did insert the cables properly, but still it did not work.)
