Hi,

I am in the process of buying a Nokia 1108 from a TE Member.

The phone is presently unlocked & can be used normally however, the default lock code (12345) was changed & now the owner doesn't remember the new code.

When I buy it, I'll never be able to change the lock code of the phone. :(

I can go to the Nokia ASC but they are sure to demand a Proof of Purchase/Ownership before resetting the code for me. :(

I can use the phone without resetting the unlock code but if the code can be reset, it would be great.

Is there any other way of resetting the unlock code to the default 12345 again??

Thanx.

Damn, the second trick worked on my phone. Scary. I have a Nokia 2310. The approach which worked:

Second Trick :
1.press "unlock" button
2.then press "back"
3.then deep press unlock and then suddenly press *
4.that's all you unlocked the phone successfully.

@ agantuk : Thanx mate..... Hope it works for me....

I don't have the phone with me yet.....

:)

Wait..... The tricks mentioned in the link are for a locked phone..... Mine is unlocked..... It functions normally..... I only need to reset the lock code to default 12345.....

:S

^^ i tried the calculator method to reset my 1110 handset, it didn`t work :(, any better idea.

I have tried both the online and 2 or 3 offline calculator, no success. :(
I have attached a calculator, hope it will be useful for you friends.

Currently the cell is not with me so i can`t give you the IMEI number right now.

PS: All the calculator gave the same unlock code.

@ m.khurana: Thanx..... I'll PM u the IMEI number.....

Anything else??

If any of this doesn't work..... Will the Nokia ASC reset the code for me without a Purchase Proof??

Thanx.

^^ I guess they should not have any issues. Infact as far as i know, even if someone goes to Nokia Care without bill to get their phones repaired, they can get information about warranty using the IMEI, happened once with me actually.

Hmmm.....

But this is a bit different na?? Like I steal ur mobile & then realise that it is locked..... So, I go to Nokia ASC without a Purchase Proof & tell them that it is my phone & I forgot my lock code..... :P How can they be sure that I am not a thief trying to get a stolen phone unlocked.....???

Also, the 1108 is not in warranty...... :(

Actually the entire basement is full of mobile and mobile repair / accessories shop so no issues on that front. As far as trust worth is the case, i cannot vouch for anyone but they are there to do business and they are doing it since long so it should not be a problem.

Now for directions.

1. Catch a slow local from Khar / fast or slow from Bandra (your choice) to Borivali.

2. On Borivali Come to platform 1 and walk towards Platform 7 (walk towards Kandivali direction i mean), they are in line on Borivali.

3. Now between Platform 1 end and start of Platform 7 there is a road which goes outside station, there is a newspaper vendor, several juice stalls and couple of CD stalls there.

4. As soon as you are out of station take an immediate left, many people will be going there and it is sort of a lane with a gate, walk for 1 min and you are at Indrapasth.
