Hello.

I ahve two questions regarding this phone;

1. How do I upgrade the software on the phone? I am suing Windows 7.
2. How come a file more than 5MB won't transfer from my phone to another phone?

Thanks

File transfer using Bluetooth???
What kind of file is that ,5GB for a mobile phone?
The other phone's card might be formatted in FAT32. For files larger that 4GB it should be in NTFS.

Sorry. I meant 5MB.

1. Use Nokia Software Updater (NSU) + USB Cable.

Connect the phone to your PC using the cable, start the NSU, check for an update and download it, upgrade the firmware!

* Not sure if NSU supports Win7

* Make sure the connection between the phone and PC isn't disrupted during the upgrade process.

2. Err...maybe the other phone cannot receive that big a file? some phones only save to the 'phone memory', and those coincidentally have very little of it. The other option is to transfer the file to his memory card, using a card reader or a different device.

Hope this helps.

Okay. How do I change the settings on the phone so that recieved files via bluetooth go to the memory card and not phone memory?

What is the other phone??? If its the older nokia phones then its the pt.2 mentioned by thetoxic mind. Clear the files in phone memory ('Received Files') before transferring.

Yeah that's fine but can't I just change the settings in the other phone to recieve files onto the memory card and not the phone memory?

Only the newer(some?) phones even offer that option.

Previously, it would go to memory card if the phone memory was full.

The older(other) devices however, don't offer any such option and fail to receive such files.
