The next update for Windows Phone 8 based smartphones is dubbed Nokia Amber PR2.0 . The update which has leaked ahead of its official release which is expected after a few weeks.
The Amber update contains the official Windows Phone 8 GDR2 update which will be coming to all WP8 phones later this year. But it includes some Nokia exclusive features as well. The Nokia Amber update will be released for all Lumia devices soon.
The update firmware has been leaked by WindowsMania.pl and users of Lumia 820 and Lumia 920 can grab the firmware already. But unlike the official Over-the-air ( OTA ) update, flashing the firmware will wipe all data and apps unless backed up. Flashing instructions and details can be found here.
