Nokia Announces Asha 308 & Asha 309 Budget Smartphones With Capacitive Touchscreen

Nokia has announced two new budget capacitive touchscreen smartphones, the dual-SIM Asha 308 and Asha 309 .

The new devices claim to offer a fluid 'swipe' user interface and an open environment for third-party application development. The Asha 308 is Dual-SIM model which comes with Nokia's Easy Swap , while the Asha 309 has single SIM support with additional Wi-Fi support .

The handsets also come with bundled 40 premium EA games , Facebook and Twitter Integration the Nokia Messaging Service and video streaming through the browser from sites like YouTube, a first within the Asha Touch range.

How is 400x240 considered WVGA? Shouldn't it be WQVGA?

Also, is this new 'Nokia OS' an improved version of the old S40 touch? Can it do multitasking? I might buy one for my mom too.
