Nokia has announced its new flagship smartphone Lumia 1020 in India yesterday which will go on sale starting October 11.

The Lumia 1020 features 41MP PureView camera with 6 lens optics, Optical Image Stabilization and Zenon flash + LED flash and a 1.2MP front facing camera. It has a 4.5 inch AMOLED display with WXGA ( 1280x 768 ) resolution and Gorilla Glass 3.

The price of Lumia 1020 in India has not been revealed yet, but looking at the price in other countries ( US $600-$699 ) , it can be expected to be priced around Rs 40000-45000 in India.

if they manage a 40k price it would be brilliant, It wouldn't cannibalize the 920/925.

I wish it had the P2i waterproof coating, I would have bought one in a heartbeat. Oh well, hopefully it will come with the 1030.
