Nokia Announces Lumia 625, Big 4.7" display for the masses

Nokia has announced its new Lumia 625 smartphone which runs Windows Phone 8 and brings bigger display at an affordable price.



The Lumia 625 comes with a 4.7 inch WVGA display with super sensitive touch technology and Gorilla Glass 2 protection. It is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus processor with 512MB RAM and 8GB internal storage.



The Lumia 625 comes with 5MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash , capable of 1080p full HD video recording and a VGA front facing camera. The smartphone runs Windows Phone 8 and comes with Nokia exclusive apps like Nokia Smart camera, Here maps and Nokia Music included.

The Lumia 625 will be available in five colors - orange, yellow, bright green, white and black. Its rear shells are interchangable and made up of layered polycarbonate.

It will start shipping in Q3 2013 for €220 before any local taxes or operator subsidies which translates to roughly Rs 17,000.
