Is Nokia about to start phase two of device announcements, as references to the Nokia C7, Nokia X7, Nokia E7 and Nokia N9 have all appeared on the same promotional material. Following Nokia’s new naming convention, these new devices will be serious high-end smartphones, with the Nokia N9 being the top of the evolutionary tree – or in the case of this image used, the top of the house. The same leaked Nokia document that revealed the Nokia S Series has other secrets to reveal. The Nokia C7, Nokia X7, Nokia E7 and Nokia N9 smartphones may only be names at this point but with the C Series pitched at the chatting classes, the X Series aimed at heavy media users and the business class of the E Series all getting top-end devices name checked, it seems even more functionality is coming down the line this year.
We’ve already seen rumours of what the Nokia E7 may well look like – a QWERTY with a touchscreen but so far, the Nokia C7 and Nokia X7 are still firmly names and little more.
Now Engadget seem to think the Nokia N9 will somehow be a MeeGo device but surely that will be safe in the hands of the S Series? No, we’re thinking the Nokia N9 could well be the first QWERTY device running Symbian^3 or maybe even the first Symbian^4 device. Obviously, this is all guess work at this point but it shows we’ve some cracking stuff coming up in the next few months.
It looks like Nokia World 2010, which is being held in September in London, could well be a veritable avalanche of Nokia goodness, what do you think?
