Nokia E51 vs E63

i m planing to buy a smartphone

can u please guide me which is better amongst E51 and E63.

i was more inclined towards E63.

shud i buy this one or look for the bigger E71. though thats out of my budget!

E63 seems to be a smaller cousin of E71.

plz guide
 
E63 has qwerty keypad, bigger screen and I think a 3.5mm jack. E51 has a full metal body and comes with the leathery casing.

Hmmm, so E63 is the clear winner here :P
 
I had to make the same decision a few days back. I chose E51 over E63. The E51 has metal casing as against the fibre/plastic casing of E63. E51 offers more or less the same functionality minus a full qwerty keyboard which I can live with. It's easier to carry in one's pocket and IMHO E63 looks too show-offy.
 
nokia stopped E51.it will bit hard to get it now a days.large screen and qwerty keypad always had a advantage over smaller screen in smart phone if u really going to use email/documents.I am using e51 - i luv it for its small n sleek size and tectile keypad.I am nt emailing or reading document with this phone..so its suites my need

the blue E63 looks very classy. the red one may be show-offy

and wats the ~ cost of E71?

E63 doesn have HSDPA

it has this :3G Network UMTS 900 / 2100

UMTS 850 / 1900 - American version

and E 51 has : 3G Network HSDPA 850 / 2100

i m planning to use 3g - service from bsnl on my cellphone.

which is compatible these days

so wats d diff between these 2 things
 
The idea of getting an E series phone is for its enterprise/business/connectivity features. Also E51 is still an extremely popular phone. E63 is something available at a similar price point and hence has a few compromises in the body material, etc. The only major difference is the screen size and the QWERTY keyboard. Unless you are going to use thumbing a lot, the keypad of the E51 is quite quick with Nokia's autocomplete (for lack of a better word) technology.

My reasoning was to get a better and sleeker phone (top of its class - business phones) rather than a cheaper and bulkier phone (bottom of its QWERTY keypad class)

But then to each his own.

afaik UMTS is a 3g network standard used in europe. I am not sure what network standard bsnl used for its 3G services-do some googling- see for the features what is available in your area /what are you going to use/how long are you going to use - there is no means of having a ferrari in a village dirt road

edit: also u can check for the blackberry support -one of the E series phone support blackberry support provided by airtel n vodafone

In which class is E51 at the top? :P All E-series phones are in the same class, with the E51 being at the bottom and the E75 being the current flagship.
 
E63 is an excellent phone , totally pwns E51

I have been using it for a few days , its great ,also IMO for a business phone a landscape orientation is better than a portrait one

A business phone between 10-12K. Although this may not be called a class by itself, it was a requirement I had when I had to get myself a business phone a week back. Sorry if it sounded a bit ambiguous.

12.3k , its for 12k on ebay after coupons but i didnt want to order from there

actually my sister wanted N78 but it wasnt available anywhere so she bought this

you sure ? ...........its 10590/- for a new phone with bill and warranty. check the sellers feedback. Almost 10 people have bought the phone from him and have given him positive feedback.

I have pasted the coupon and link on the ebay thread on TE.
