I am a complete Windows Phone believer after using one for a year. I hope all the quirks will be addressed with this new version so that it becomes the complete experience and I don't have these fleeting thoughts of changing back to an Android or the iPhone.

^^ There may still be some good stuff with the WP 7.8 release, and not just the changes to tile sizing.

I hope quad core models show up as well, if not from Nokia then others like Samsung. (Assuming quad core CPUs really perform better than dual cores without too much battery hit).

One thing that worries me about Windows Phone 8 is that the current Windows Phone 7.x is based on the embedded OS but WP8 apparently will have the same "core" as the full desktop Win8, so I really hope it doesn't turn out to be bloated battery hogging and performance sapping.
