It just has 2 SIM slots...Only one SIM at a time would be working...

Good for those who keeps on switching their SIM cards...

It's not solution for ppl who carry 2 different numbers at a time...

BUT neways..finally NOKIA has appreciated the concept of dual sim...

Which is the cheapest phone with the ability to use both sim-cards simultaneously?

^^ Whichever solution you choose.. pls do not go for a chinese phone.

Its called as 'Dual Active Mode', the feature of both sims being active simultaneously

A Micromax perhaps. I am not aware of the specific model though. Most of them have the dual SIM option. And they come with a year's warranty. The Q5 is a pretty solid QWERTY phone.

when you mention use two sims simultaneously / dual standby - do you mean that if you are on call with one sim you cant receive calls on the other one - which is generally unavailable for other callers?

Yeah, i was surprised when i got to feel the Q5 personally. Its indeed pretty solid and well built, fantastic Dual SIM QWERTY phone for its price.

Do the Micromax phone have T9 dictionary coz i need to get a phone with dual standby for a big time texter who is addicted to Nokia keypads, can some help me in getting one ??

Sorry for bumping this old thread.

So any ideas about when is this phone going to be available in our local markets? This phone is gonna give a good 'left, right and center' to the brands like Micromax and karbonn(sigh!).

It is actually already available , the C1 atleast.

And the C2 DOES support Dual active SIMs so u can have 2 numbers on at the same time.

Dont think so give any left right center to micromax and other because they are giving much better stuff and options like big screen and many other stuff

Another thing these nokia c1 just 1 active sim at a time not both so better to switch to other options where there is provision for both sim active
