41 Megapixel and still stuck on Symbian/Bella
Thats just a total waste of useful resources...

btw guys symbian belle is not that bad :P . i have Nokia 701 with same processor , ram and belle OS , its very snappy , no lag at all and features are also decent . its just that there are not as many apps as on Android .

yeah .. it was slow and laggy initially , but after FP1 , its very fast , and runs much faster on 1.3GHz device compared to N8 / C7 etc with 600MHz processors . Also the sound quality is very good with Dolby headphone on Belle FP1 .

whatsapp, instagram, facebook, twitter runs well on Belle, more battery than android phones (anyday), smooth... maybe not multiprocessing like the quad cores but who cares, as long as it does the main stuff and is better than android, its always gud...

using a note and an n8 together (business and personal phone) except the feel of UI on the n8, nothing seems lacking on it but then again i might not be giving up on android now or anytime too soon!!!;P

I sometimes feel android is an overkill for most of the people who just browse ,listen to music, watch some movies and click some photos on their phone.

Symbian is always a nice alternative to such people cos they would be requiring good battery back up to fulfil the above.

Because only Symbian's camera stack has the low level support required to handle this sensor at the moment.

In any case, Nokia was doomed the moment they hinted that they are no longer serious about Symbian. Within two months their market dominance was gone and now its only a matter of time before it falls apart and someone takes it over.

33 k it is!
normally when i asked about the price in heera panna, the shopkeepers generally quote a couple of k's off the manufacturer price but not this time.
the guy is taking my note for 25 k and has said to add another 8 k.decisions decisions!

Not much difference apart from the screen size, internal 8gb more and the camera between 701 and 808, but the rate difference between these 2 is too much....

So you are planning to exchange your Note for Nokia 808, single core Belle OS and a out of the world Camera. Tough Decision and @comp@ddict said I cannot judge it without using it and I've Nokia N8 but I've not updated it to Anna or Belle so can't say anything about it, but you do let us know if you go with it :)

it has more than enough power to run all the apps and whistles that i do on my phone.the biggest draw without a doubt is the camera.
i do like symbian o.s though so i wont mind switching.its the value i am worried about.will it flop? and will i see it selling for 25 k after 15 days of me buying it for 33 k.thats the biggest problem.

Then UPDATE it already silly!! :P :P

I guess when compared with nokia's current status this phone is over priced.

Besides My view on symbian belle is, I find it good, usable and fast, the phone does not lag, I have seen may android phones getting slower, also while pressing the camera button (in sony xperia) it clicks 3-4 seconds later. That is not the case with belle.

Android is not bad and has a lot of apps. but I feel belle too is good, especially it does not lag.

yeah .. thats true , camera is very fast on belle . when the phone is locked , i can open the camera and click an image within 3 sec on 701 .

Oh! actually it's my younger brother's (but its in the family) and he is not so tech savvy and if something goes wrong like having lag after the update then he'll just blame me, so better to leave him alone with the phone, I'm on Spice MI410 (Cheap Android) with ICS 4.0.4 (CM9 Nightly)

Saw the specs and it has all the goodies a normal user wants.

but i guess the price is just too much.

25k should have been ok.
