Nokia Lumia EOS is set to be launched in the market while Lumia handsets prices are going to be slashed in India
Nokia Lumia EOS is set to improve Finnish tech giant Nokia’s presence in the top smart-phone market. The handset that comes with 41 mega pixel PureView camera is going to up the ante against other market leaders and press them to introduce better cameras in their smart-phones. So far market leaders like Apple and Samsung have resisted the demand to put better cameras under the hoods of their smart-phones. Neither Samsung nor Apple have launched more than 8 mega pixel camera in their flagship handsets, though some fringe players in the market have introduced 13 mega pixel cameras in the phones.
But Nokia seems to be taking the lead in this regard and introducing one handset after the other with top of the line cameras. For camera enthusiasts who want to use their handsets as camera, such Nokia handsets are going to be the ultimate choices. The handset will run on Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 operating system and will come with all the good things that are part of the top smart-phones right now.
Though so far Nokia hasn’t really said much about the handset or the name it will give it, but reports suggest it may be called Lumia 1000. “This might become the commercial name of the device so far codenamed EOS, which should bring the insane 41MP camera sensor from the 808 PureView to Windows Phone,†writes Unwired View. It will be one of the premium Windows Phone 8 devices the market will have this year. It may also compete with all the new line of FullHD handsets with 13MP or better rear cameras. Nokia is currently the best maker of Windows Phone devices. The Finnish firm has already produced two lines of handsets for Windows Phone. The first line was for Windows Phone 7.5 Mango that included devices like Lumia 900, Lumia 800, Lumia 610 and more. Meanwhile, the latest series is designed for Windows Phone 8. It includes the new handsets like the Lumia 920, 820, 620 and now the Lumia 1000. Besides these two, Nokia has launched a device called the Lumia 505 for Windows Phone 7.8.
The Nokia Lumia will not come in a phablet body, but will come in a very good size of 4.3 inch display. The handset is to sport a 4.3-inch Curved Glass touchscreen display with HD capability. The camera will also feature the company’s Carl Zeiss lens as well. The camera can also capture video at 1080p full HD video recording along with the Rich Recording technology. It will be powered by a dual core processor and Adreno 320 graphical processor. Above all, it will run on Windows Phone 8, the latest version of the software from Microsoft.
