nokia N81?

hey is the n81 really worth 19k?
its got wifi n stereo speakers n all bt can ull suggest if its really a multimedia revelation or just another overpriced nokia phone?
any help is really apreaciated
or suggest another phone in the same price range.........
 
Well, what are you looking for in a phone? How can we suggest anything without knowing that? :P

The N81 is the best music player, also an excellent n-gage device. So if music and games are your thing, the n81 is the best right now :)
 
well i shud hav wifi, good music,good looks,multi tasking abilities,camera dosent really matter,multiple alarms,large screen which is high resolution,a phone on which u can put 3rd party applications.......... please suggest......

n81 has ALL tht ...but i wud really w8 for the w960i(if only i had waited :( ) nd thn go for the kill :P ....
 
I was considering buying a N81 but i dropped the idea... Three issues... I have a fat thumb and the multimedia keys are tightly placed togather... Secondly... Absolutely pathetic camera... They could have integrated a 3.2MP if not a 5MP camera with auto focus with the phone... Lastly and quite importantly... The overall build quality of the phone is not at all impressive... The phone makes noise while shacking which in my opinion is not good and you dont expect that after paying 19K for a phone...

Otherwise the phone speakers are exceptionally good and i haven't tried games on the phone so cant comment about that...

Err...Its not tht tightly spaced(even for a fat thumb:P ...try it out if u can lay ur hands on 1:) )

So true...camera plain suXx....its too greenish..even after the firmware upgrade its not solved..plain SUXx

The noise cmes from the keypad lock key (seperate key on the top of the model....too flimsy:no: )

k so i got the n81..... good phone.... brilliant display... im impressed....

but in the gallery when i play some of the videos nokia gave on the cd like desert rose it does not play smoothly at all... it is like watching videos on youtube when you have a slow connection.... the video is always breaking up n this is very frustrating....

r any of ull also expirencing this...... or is it a defect in my phone... pls help....
 
the n81 is a great phone... it looks great,resolution on the display is great, i like the navi-wheel,maps application is very good if you download the nokia map loader for india which is about 20 mb, music is also good n loud through the speakers but it lacks base,it has a 3.5mm headphone jack.... but the phone is a bit creaky n the camera is not good..... otherwise it is a good phone. i would say 8.5/10
 
hey wat firmware u hav on ur phone?..... from the nokia updater it says that v11.00.035 is the latest but on the net it says that v11.00.045 is out....

wel actually i was either goin to buy the n81 or n82 but the shopkeeper advised me not to go for the n82 because it overheats and is not a good phone..... camera dosent really matter for me so the only difference is that the n82 has a inbuilt gps module which you can buy separetly for around 2k... plus when i bought the n81 the n82 was for 24k..... 6k more than the n81
 
Firmware update for our region is not yet available....:(
2 firmwares r already out.....1 fixes the green-tintyness in cam nd fast naviwheel responsiveness.

but not for OUR region yet :E :E

but can b used by changin product codes :)
