Nokia PC suite installed...but modem and other things not

I installed nokia pc suite in my vista ultimate machine and then connected my 5230 phone to to, it did recognize it but failed to install the modem and its supporting things. Any idea why such happened ?
It said MPS (i think) device and then also failed to install somm CDS Conn interface or what.
Not sure what the issues is but i am hence not able to use the modem to connect to internet.
Any workarounds ?

have u installed the latest version of PC suite ??

try installing the latest one

re install. i think your usb cord might have lost the connection during installation of the modem.

also check registry if any previou version of any nokia software or pc suit is present, also check if resources are free n the usb port is installed as 2.0

I have the latest version of pc suite, so i guess that is not an issue.

At the time of installation, i had disconnected the phone. Is that the right way to do ?

the PC suite auto detects the phone when you connect the phone. just reinstall.
