Nokia has launched its most affordable Lumia smartphone , the Lumia 510 . India is first country to get the Lumia 510 which would be priced under Rs 11000 .

The Lumia 510 borrows a lot of features from the Lumia 610 and comes with bigger 4" screen and Windows Phone 7.8 update. The phone runs 800MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 processor but comes with just 256MB RAM . It has 4GB internal storage but comes without expansion slot due to Windows 7.8 limitations.

Coming to design, the Lumia 510 is thinner than the Lumia 610 at 11.5mm vs 12mm and is quite sleek. It will come in 5 colors .
Full features include

  • 4-inch capacitive touchscreen with WVGA 800x480 resoltion
  • 800MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
  • 256MB RAM , 4GB Storage
  • 5Megapixel Camera with Autofocus, carl zeiss optics, VGA video recording
  • HSDPA, 7.2 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, A-GPS support.
  • 1300mAh battery

The phone seems to offers decent features for the price, considering the 4" display and Windows Phone 7.8 update. But the available memory is too less as the user will be left with just 2.88GB. Though Nokia is offering 7GB free SkyDrive storage with the device .

The 256MB RAM is also less since some apps wont run smoothly and some will be restricted from installing on the device due to low memory like Skype.

Still the device will be a good option for someone looking for a Windows Phone device with big screen on a budget.
Nokia has suggested that the phone will retail at "less than Rs. 11,000" price, but exact price and availability has not been revealed yet.
