Nokia has released their new Lumia smartphone into the wild, and this time it's the Lumia 520 running Microsoft's latest Windows Phone 8 OS. The Lumia 520 will be the cheapest Lumia running WP8 from Nokia, and we really hope it does get priced cheap enough for the masses to buy one. Nokia will do good if their smartphones start selling for something between Rs. 12,000-Rs. 15,000. More details follow (there's the Lumia 720 as well, both smartphones pack super sensitive touch screens).
Nokia Lumia 520
The Lumia 520 comes with a 4 inch WVGA IPS LCD display with super sensitive touch, which continues the trend that the Lumia 510 and 610 set. The higher end model ended up with a smaller display, and such is the case between the Lumia 520 and 620 as well (which packs a 3.8 inch display).

As you can see, the spec sheet is pretty impressive. We are happy to see a powerful Krait CPU in the budget model as well as 720p video recording (and expandable storage, YEAH!). The lack of front camera and flash at the back might be missed by some, but for the price range this phone is targeting, you can easily forgive and forget. The price is set at just $183, which is really good.
Nokia Lumia 720
The Lumia 720 is the next offering beside the Lumia 820 smartphone. Packing a 4.3 inch Clearback display with super sensitive touch, the rest of the specifications sheet are a mixed bag between the Lumia 620 and 820, but ultimately have resulted in a decent new WP8 smartphone.

Our only qualm is with the 512 MB of RAM. We really wish Nokia had outfitted this model with 1 GB of RAM and kept it as a part of the upper tier just like the first generation Lumias. The big 2000 mAh battery is more than welcome. The Lumia 720 will come with a $330 price tag. Overall, a nice entry to the Lumia series.
