Recently there had been an outcry in the US regarding the same campaign be Microsoft named "Smoked by Windows Phone" when MS denied a winner his prize for no valid reason. It is shocking that the same campaign is being done by Nokia in India. The rules are set by them in a such a way that the other phone cannot win. A leaked instruction set to the store employees conducting such contests shows how Microsoft rigged the contests for their profit.

Recently, the New Delhi campaign where the girlfriend of the guy losing the challenge calls his Galaxy SII "a piece of s**t" clearly looks an awful piece of acting to me.

I am not against WP or Nokia but after using both numerous Android & Lumia handsets, I can definitely say that the way Nokia is branding Android as trash is not correct. Both OS have their pros & cons and the one-way targeting is unfair. What do you guys say ??

its a bit cringeworthy to be honest and something which may sway uninformed people.

say in the event that i beat them, what do i get?

Internationally the winners get a $1000 gift card but I am not aware what they are giving in India. BTW most of the challenges are skewed in favour of WP with modifications done & apps added to the WP handset before hand so its kinda lucky draw.

It should be both ways we should also be given a chance to give a task on which an Android will go head to head with a WP then let's see who wins.

Moreover let's Factory Reset our devices and then let's do the tasks given by each user.

Ethical? Doesn't matter. Are they the first to do it? Hell no. Android phones have been ridiculing the iPhone for ages. Pity that they don't like it when someone does the same to them.

Not sure how exactly it has been done in India (the winner gets 1000 bucks from Nokia / MS), but in the US it used mutually agreed upon set of actions. So if someone loved taking pics, he was challenged to start with a locked phone, take a pic and share it, and so on.

What if I went with HD2. I'm pretty confident it can dual boot Android and Windows Phone.

See this video :

But they forgot to compare Siri with any voice recognition / voice AI software of Android. If so, they would've got trolled themselves

^ thats exactly the video i posted above.

i can understand how samsung are a bit weary about nokia since the devices will compete at the same price point over here.let the war begin!

That girl which was previously denied any prize, was later called by microsoft and give a WP mobile along with some extra gift + applozy.

^^ Sorry for the late reply. My internet connection was not working since last 4 days.

After a huge media outcry, the girl who won was given the prize.

But what about here ? Nokia claims that 94% of people have lost the challenge. Those videos are posted on YouTube. But where are the videos of the people who won the challenge ??
