L lazyme Contributor Jan 8, 2007 #1 Thought of overclocking my Amd64 2800 today. This is what I achieved. I dont think I can push the CPU more and the RAM is stuck at 167MHZ:no: Havent touched the timings yet. Any suggestions?

Keep CAS Latency 3 and then clock it.Will be much easier that way. @.3 on Hammer is good but see if you can go a bit more.

L lazyme Contributor Jan 9, 2007 #4 @Darky-Even after loosening CAS Latency to 3, I can not go more.Prime95 torture test fails if I push the FSB to 265.I am worried about the memory. How do I get it closer to 200MHz Or should I just look to tighten the timings now:huh:

Darklord Galvanizer Jan 9, 2007 #8 Socket 754 never supported Dual Channel. Also with A64 ,CPU speed matters more than Memory speed. Also capacity has nothing to do with performance of a ram at particular setting. 400 @ 3-3-3-8 is better than 450 @ 4-4-4-8 or something, get my point ?
