noob question: How to play GTA Vice City ?

I know this must be a very simple question for you. I have recently got a PS2 and bought the game GTA Vice City. But i have no clue what is to be done in the game and what is the aim of the game. Can anyone please enlighten me on this. I was not able to find much help from google

Last when i started, i was in a city outside a car, thats it...:ashamed:

lool.... if you want, you can do missions.... just follow the stuff that pops up in the mini map...

or you can go around killing people .... thats fun too :)
try going to the big symbol in the minimap for starters :)
 
follow the BIG letters in your minimap and stand in the pink glowing space

you will get a mission, complete it if you want

or run around city killing everyone and try to do wheelies with tanks
 
complete at least few mission to open the gates for the remaining area of the city . otherwise its no fun killing ppl only in one area.
 
How old are you? Good thing you didn't start with GTA4 then. I've heard that game is truly overwhelming in it's scope of stuff to do.

Heh yeah. 10 hours in and the game was still giving out some "tutorial" missions.

I am not too sure what the OP is looking for. The games is self explanatory. Every mission for the first few hours teaches how to handle stuff i.e. guns, boats, choppers etc WRT controls.
