a) : rest of the config?
b) Intended usage

and OT, but why a 15.4" ? ;)

exactly that was goin thru' my mind ..........

They are have the same specs

T2080, 1GB ram (the HP has 667Mhz, rest have 533), 120Gig HDD(with the first one having 80)

The I one is a lot cheaper, $90 then the remaining 2. So I would suggest that. But if you want a bigger HDD get the HP.

Also look if anyone is providing a bigger battery with em (6 or 9cell), these models must be having 4 cell batteries. Below 35k mark (in India) usually do.

Like I said, the notebook'll be on my desk most of the time. So it'll be connected via the adapter.. So I think I'll be alright with a 4cell one ...

Which one should I go for ? Toshiba/HP ?

Its still handy to have a larger battery.

As for which to go for, get the HP one. Just noticed the third Toshiba price was after MIR, not sure if you can avail that.

I'll need to get a Hard disk upgrade though .. 120 ... So is there any point in getting the cheap one (I'll sell the default 80 gigger or use it as an external hd) ?

Hmm. How much is a 120 gig notebook hdd for ?

120giger in India is for 4k abouts

My advice on the issue : Use the 80Giger as long as you can, when you have filled it up get the bigger HDD for a lot cheaper then it is right now.

Hmm. So is saving $90 worth it ? (Also, Toshiba/HP ? Which one's got the better build quality?)

And the HP has Vista Premium. The Toshiba - Basic.

No idea about build quality, look for something with matte gloss finish, thats my personal fav...

As for saving the $90, yep IMO its worth it, all you get is 40gig more space, which can be bought later onwards for lil less.
