Let the Wave I fall to 15k bracket and it ll sell even better.

Any significant improvements you guys notice in the Wave II ? Minimal i think.

26k ....:O:O....... thats too much when companred to wave 1.......

no point going for wave 2 if someone can still get wave 1 as hardware wise hardly any diff so no point speding 8k to 9k extra

Good Point. :)

Was thinking exactly the same.

Samsung has got this so called strategy to introduce abt 10% new feature and ask for 33% more in price by eliminating the flagship models.

By pricing the Wave II ~25k price bracket, they are pushing for Galaxy S sales.

i was also thinking the same..... the price is close to galaxy s and galaxy specs are higher than wave and wave 2 both (with amoled screen 4", internal memory 8gb/16gb, class 12 gprs and edge and very low SAR value of .24 W/kg when compared to wave's .94W/kg .....).......

theres something fishy out here in the samsung prices.... are they trying to phase out wave.......??

Yes to be precise... i had a real tough time searching for Wave I phones in Mumbai. Dealers are saying that this phone is out of stock.

Ok, so it seems that the only phones that are going to have 'Bada' in the foreseeable future are the Wave series?
The future doesn't look too promising for Bada I guess :(

Well samsung have already stopped supporting symbian so they have already played this trick before of phasing out phones or OS'es to be precise

what ppl dont realize is that bada is samsung's own OS... so if they ditch support for it then they are ultimately ditching themselves.. which doesnt make sense. And i doubt that Wave II will be around 26000, if you rememb the first Wave was also speculated to launch @ ~25000 but it didn't.

bada is here to stay...including wave 1, 2 other mid range phones and now wave 2....all powered by bada...samsung is just starting up...

Yeah.... that makes sense in bits......

Actually, Samsung won't stop producing bada phones is a fact but that they''ll continue to support the discontinued bada based phones is a hope that only time will testify.....

maybe wave 1 was made cheaper just for promoting BADA OS and the same should be done with wave 2 else samsung will not be able to establish it BADA OS

Software support will continue for Wave. Just that due to amoled shortage they are discontinuing the wave and replacing it with Wave II S-LCD one. Also this is going to happen to Galaxy S too and it will be taken off the market in dec due to shortage of amoled. And its successor being announced in MWC 2011. This is all according to the joker called "eldar murtazin" btw :)

As we speak my colleagues sitting next to me is opening up his wave. And the look on his face is priceless. So people, don't worry, the phone is still in Market. i bought it a week back from flipkart and today my colleague got his.

I have this feeling that price of Wave II will come down to 20k in a few months and the company will either terminate the production of Wave or will bring it to 15k territory.
