one of my friends wants to buy a 6MP digi cam, his budget is max 15k so need some nice suggestions from you guys

Canon A540/SD600(Locally called IXUS 60 i believe) is what you'll get in that price.

hmm checked out the canon a540,SD600,S3IS and sony DSC H2

and finally shortlisted Canon S3IS which is available at 17k and Sony DSC H2 which is available at 15k so which one to go for?
dpreviews is hinting more towards Sony DSC H2 so is it a good buy at 15k?

^Good purchase for lower light levels. The Canon has better IS for zooming.

The H2 and S3 are prettymuch at par with a few pros in favor of each...

With the H2 at 15K,ay go for it..

Used the Ixus 60. Its in a word crap.

At 14K gray look up the A710IS. Seems great VFM.

oops sorry u decided on those 2 only. Well our office camera guy disliked the S3's indoor performance. Friend has the H2 he's very satisfied. btw the shots of my everglide titan posted on TE awhile back were taken on the H2. See if u can dig up shots yet I remember 'rave' reviews about the photos (if not the pad)
