Dude if u bot it from India (legit- with bill) or the UK it would be a PAL based system, unless u got it from US- which has NTSC based consoles.

^^ oohh, tough luck. PS3 doesn't recognise NTFS format (it's a microsoft thing ). if you want to use your usb drives, they need to be formatted in FAT32.

of course, you can also use the PS3 to stream data off your desktop PC, either through Windows Media Player 11 or using 3rd party software like TVersity

I think he's talking about NTFS Files system support in the ps3. The 40gb ps3 has two usb 2.0 ports and you can only connect portable hard drives/pen drives which are formatted in the older FAT32 format or it won't detect them.

MODS please change the title from NTSC to NTFS file sytem support for 40GB PS3 system

You dont. max 4gb file size supported. :tongue:
this is also one of the reasons y all the ps3 hacks for play backup iso games are fake.
