This program has been floating around the net.Allows u to write the registers of the Nvidia GPU(relating to memory parameters) directly.Seems to work,the change is permanent.
The software is VERY powerful and could render ur card useless.I am not sure if reflashing the bios of ur card will help coz the gpu register is being written here.(I am a bit hazy here but rebooting didn't seem to reset the timings to default,though registers as far as I know are temp. storage in cpu).
Used it successfully to lower a few timings on my card.

PS:Did this on my soon to be retired 5700,so please be careful if u use it on ur 6800s!
 
Looks a gr8 software.
Always wanted to know about a software which wud help me lower the GDDR3 timings.

Gr8 Find Undertaker.
After lowering the timings how much perf increase did u notice.

But looks a bit risky.
Dont know how many ppl wud love to risk.
 
I agree with Quad....It looks pretty Risky......dont wanna screw up the Card....i have already ended up with a pretty bad Asus Mother bord dos upgrade
