Sorry about this, I am facing some problems sourcing some of the components for the system for which this was meant, specifically the Topping ta2020 amp and the cambridge S30 speakers, and the nuforce purchase was meant for this setup, and will not make sense without them.

Can you please unhold this item and I will get back to you as soon as I can source the amp and speakers.

I am not much of an audiophile..just wondering how this will fare with my Sennheiser RS 120 headphones in combination with my asus netbook..
 
The RS-120 is a wireless model from Sennheiser. We believe you are currently using the onboard audio of your netbook connected to the transmitter .The uDAC will provide the RS120 with a better source and power resulting in lesser noise and more clear sound . It will definitely provide you a good upgrade in sound quality compared to the netbooks onboard soundcard.
 
How does the udac pair up with a M2 .. i am looking for a slight increase in volume ..without having to sacrifice the detailing and the clarity...?
 
^ The uDAC is basically a high-quality source (Digital to analog) along with a built in headphone amplifier.Its primarily meant to be used with portable headphones.With the M2 it will definitely provide you an upgrade in clarity and sound quality and also more amplification . :)

I have used the uDAC2 and that certainly was not portable(and its not mentioned like that anywhere as well), is the uDAC smaller than uDAC2???
 
^ Are you sure you used the uDAC II ? The uDAC and uDAC II are both of exact same size and built in same housings. Both measure as small as a portable media player .Here have a look , http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/6113/nuforceudacfront.jpg .

Also compared to other desktop headphone DACs and amplifiers which take up a lot of space and some of them need power from the wall socket ,the uDAC has a very small foot-print and is directly powered from USB . Hence the portability and freedom for anyone to carry it with them wherever they want :)

Yup, hehehehe, pretty sure it was the uDAC2. Isnt it promoted more as a Desktop Headphone DAC/amp??? Was blown away with the SQ but with its thickness you cant really put it in a pocket, and its input was USB, so is there another stereo input as well on both the DACs???? Sorry I should do my own research as well but it has been more than a few months that I sold it, since I already have a decent sound card and didnt need a desktop amp but do require a portable amp......
 
^By portable , we didn't mean that it can be carried in pocket or used only as an amplifier. What we meant was it is more suitable for people on the move , the ones traveling frequently to have a nice small external DAC . Sorry about the confusion /

The uDAC is only a USB DAC + amp and can not be used only as amp. The Icon mobile on the other hand performs both functions .
