Graphic Cards Nv 8800 Discussion taken out from 8800 Go thread

GT will hv saner prices...but any1 with 20" LCD or above needs GTX.

hw come the prices started out low(comparitively)...hw much wud they be in US.

^^ No Rio and the early cards are made by a single OEM for Nvidia so you can say almost all cards are gonna be same, be it Asus,MSI,Leadtek etc.

Later on may be they make their own or something.

its going to be a Reference Card so i dont see reason to be worried about....

500/650 for the GTS/GTX, tentatively :)

Rio... first batch of cards are exactly the same from all makes... made by nvidia so it doesn't matter who the maker is :). Man go for it... can't get a better deal :D. Bump for an awesome deal... too bad that I'm gonna wait a while before I buy a DX10 card.

good deal , to whoever considering buying but is thinking twice coz its BIG DON'T cause as many said above it will be a reference card n will perform as good as any other brand

hope to see some GT rates soon

well, just be aware that buy this card only if you have a display supporting a minimum of 1920 x 1440. Anything below that and the card's power will be wasted.

Well, I avoided wasting 500$ on a X1950XTX for this.

Its an amazing deal. Only 7 Grand? above the US Price :P.

I think ill be getting mine from the U.S. though ...

nice joke puneet. this is only initially. as newer games come especiall dx10 the card wont be able to handle the games at that res.

Even if the GPU can do its part, the CPU wont be able to.

Why do people always talk about screen resolution when it comes to games? What about running games at max settings AND at 16:10 or 16:9? Even this requires a lot of graphics computing power, so it's crazy to say an 8800GTX will be useless for resolutions < 19:14 (oh and don't forget Oblivion lol).

I disagree with you :)
