Nvidia Announces New GTX 650 Ti Boost Graphics Card, Priced At $149

Recently AMD announced their new mid-range graphics card HD 7790 and now Nvidia has introduced its new GeForce GTX 650 Ti to compete with AMD's offerings at the $150 price point .

The GTX 650 Ti Boost comes with with GPU clock frequency of 980MHz and boost frequency of 1033MHz, it has same clocks as the GTX 660 but lesser CUDA cores ( 768 vs 960 ) . The GTX 650 Ti Boost gets the same 192 bit memory interface as the GTX 660 and has 1GB or 2GB GDDR5 clocked at 1502MHz or 6Gbps.



Compared to the GTX 650 Ti , the Boost version just has same no of CUDA cores, the clock speeds and bigger 192 bit interface makes its performance more closer to the GTX 660 than the GTX 650 Ti.

The GTX 650 Ti boost has TDP of 150W which is same as GTX 660, it has single PCI-e 6 Pin power connector and on the back it has two two dual-link DVI ports, HDMI and DisplayPort.

The GTX 650 Ti boost beats the HD 7790 in most cases and even better than HD 7790 in some games in reviews.

The GTX 650 Ti Boost will come in 1GB and 2GB versions , the 2GB version will start shipping first and will be priced at $169. The 1GB version will be priced at $149.

The 2GB version is expected to cost Rs 11,990 and the 1GB version is expected to cost Rs 10,490 in India.
