CPU/Mobo Nvidia claims it's sold 1.5 million Nforce4 SLI motherboards

Sales numbers are rising as Nvidia is selling SLI capable motherboards and cards like hot cakes. The high end users like the idea that you can plug two cards and have it up and running. Some of them have bought an SLI motherboard and one SLI capable card and now are waiting to get enough money to buy a second one.

We estimate that around 1.2 million motherboards sold worldwide which are AMD Nforce 4 based, while some 300,000 are perhaps Intel based.

Cheap SLI boards are coming and you should expect to see them soon. In next two weeks you should be able to grab €75-79 priced 6600 LE SLI capable graphic cards and we believe that this should rocket Nvidia's SLI motherboard and graphic card sales.

Wow ! Awesome, I like the 6600LE idea...

Kinda gets SLI to the masses, so even users who dont spend a lot, can brag about SLI rigs...

Well I think 2 6600LE will perform almost the same as a 6800, but then you get huge bragging rights with SLI...

Again, nVidia is exploiting the poor old consumer who thinks 2 is better ;)
