Graphic Cards Nvidia driver not detecting native monitor resolution in Win 7

I have a GTS450 and a samsung 203SW monitor with native resolution of 1600x900, which works on Xp. I am using a DVI to VGA adapter to connect it. But on Windows 7 32 bit, after installing the nvidia driver the card sets max resolution to 1368x768 and the text is blurry even with clear text adjusted. If try to give a custom resolution of 1600x900 but still it shows blurry text. I am using 296.10 drivers from Nvidia. I also tried to install the monitor drivers from Samsung but it still does not solve the problem.

Anyone knows any way out of this?
