Nvidia Forums Hacked , 400000 Passwords Stolen , Accounts Compromised
This has been a bad week with many security breaches , recently Yahoo got hacked and now Nvidia has become the latest victim of hackers .
Nvidia forums and developer zone have been hacked and login credentials have been stolen. Nvidia has said that unknown number of accounts out of total 400K have been compromised . The hackers got information like username , passwords , email addresses and hashed passwords from the site .
However, the passwords were stored only hashed and salted , therefore they were not directly compromised .
Nvidia has recommended that users that use the same passwords on other places should change their passwords and do not use the same in future .
