jan 20 is too late ..!too slow of nvidia IMO !

OT : i am glad that i recommended the 5970 to my friend 6 months back ! :D

they are sill on the top :D

lets hope its got a sub $230 price tag, performance at least on par with the HD 6870,not over priced in indian market and it will be my next card ;)

IMO it wud be able to outperform HD6870 ;)

Relative Performance (2500x1600)

460 60%

6870 76%

570 95%

6970 100%

580 110%

So

the 6970 is about 66.67% faster than the 460

about 33% faster than 6850

And the 6870 is 26.67% faster than the 460.

Also

460 60%

470 76%, 26.67% faster

480 94%, 56.67 faster, 25% faster than 470

570 95%

580 110%, around 16-17% faster

From the various things it can be inferred. That the 570 will be about 15-20% faster than the 560. Or the 560 will be 12-17% slower than the 570.

Assuming an average difference of 15%.

The 560 should score around 80% or so.

Which means it would be around 30-35% faster than the 460 1GB (which is just about right assuming that companies usually exagerute a bit and 35% and 38% is bang on anyway)

and it will be comparable to the 6870, take or give 5-10% depending on the game and setting etc.

I feel that GTX 560 with 48 extra cores with higher clocks than a GTX 460 will be on par or better than a 6950 and should outperform a 6870 since a highly oc'd GTX 460 like EVGA FTW edition is at par with a 6870.

It would be better if 560 had higher memory clocks [say 1200Mhz DDR5] with 2GB buffer to compete AMD at high resolutions.:(
