News NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Is 2x Faster Than 4080 At $999, RTX 5070 Ti 2x Faster Than 4070 Ti At $769, RTX 5070 Faster Than 4090 For $549

Gigabyte offers 4 years, Got it from Nehru Place... I know some people who can arrange deals .. few and far between... I got lucky.. these usually go for 82k.. I got an 11k discount..
Also I just got quoted 135k for a Gigabyte Windforce 5080 which is an MSRP card... Should be 107k..
Yes, Nehru Place gives best prices and also some fb sellers also give good prices but in order to claim free games given by either nvidia and AMD its not possible as these fb sellers aren't in official vendors list. I think JD Tech's Jaydip Mori who is also TE member gives good prices. He also sells 2nd hand items.
In order to claim any free games 1 needs to buy from authorised vendors given in nvidia and amd websites.

Apparently the RTX 5080 can be overclocked a fair bit. Maybe that will help salvage the card?
That is only when you are seeing it compared to the 4080 super which has not been overclocked or what is better to do for the 4080 super undervolted, when compared to that the 5080 which when overclocked gained like 10% performance on average(so now 20% faster than the 4080 super) only remains 15% faster so overclocking and or undervolting both the cards lead to the 5080 gaining 5% boost is overclocking even worth for that extra 5% when it can and most probably will lead to some stability issues as well. Even if you are ok with that a 15% overall gain is still nowhere close to what was the norm with all the previous generations and even after the overclock it still doesn't match the 4090.

Jaydeep Mori was banned from TE due to his habit of sniping every good deal here, and flipping for a profit elsewhere (including on TE).

Hypothetically, if these new cards cost 10% of what they cost would all of you complaining, stop complaining?
Well no for that it would have to atleast 20% cheaper seeing that there is only a 10% performance gain from the 4080 super it would have to undercut that cards pricing by at least 20% in order to be considered an decent generational performance to price uplift.

He said 10% of what they cost, not 10% less so I'm confused what he was trying to imply xD like obviously people wouldn't complain

There were rumours of a 24GB variant of an RTX 5080. If and when that does get released, NVidia being NVidia will likely charge a hefty premium for the same.
Still waiting on the RTX 5070 TI and below, but basically, from what I've seen so far, if you're on RTX 3000 series (or AMD equivalent) or earlier then the RTX 5000 series may make some sense.
If you're on RTX 4000 series and were hoping to upgrade you're still good.

Nvidia's latest 572.16 driver isn't just for the RTX 50-series, as 20, 30 and 40-series cards are also gifted with significant updates

It seems nvidia has given significant updates to RTX 20,30,40 series cards as well with its latest 572.16 driver using new nvidia app in addition to RTX 50 series cards.
RTX40 series cards get enhanced DLSS frame generation, RTX30 & 20 series cards get enhanced ray reconstruction, super resolution (in beta), and DLAA (also in beta).
The new app update will also allow you to override in-game frame generation to the latest version in many games, even if it's not been implemented as an option yet.
There are several other improvements, too, such as to Video Super Resolution (VSR), which upscales videos, with the new version "using up to 30% fewer GPU resources at its highest quality setting, allowing more GeForce RTX GPUs to enable it".
Nvidia explains: "To enable NVIDIA Smooth Motion, select a compatible DirectX 11 or DirectX 12 game in Graphics > Program settings. Scroll down the list of options on the right to reach “Driver Settings”, and switch Smooth Motion on."

Although the older cards getting all these features is pretty neat, it's a band-aid over a gunshot wound tbh... the 50 series as a whole is still a MASSIVE disappointment.... These features are just like finding 20rs coin inside a pastry after biting into it and breaking your teeth on it... it's like putting lipstick on a pig.. like mopping the deck while the Titanic is sinking... it's like patching up a bombing victim with threads of hope.. trying to save pompei by putting a cork on the volcano... like tying your shoelaces when you've been pushed out a plane without a parachute..

okay.. i'm done but you all get the point...

Watch this hialrious video from Gamers Nexus titled Paper Launch

This video talks about NVIDIA's paper launch of the RTX 5090 in addition to its launch of the RTX 5080 that no one wants. We crawl through the internet to try and learn more about just how low the inventory and stock was, as well as share our own experiences of trying (and failing) to buy any RTX 5090 GPUs on launch day. We also spoke with numerous people in the industry to try and learn more, and it does look like the 5090 is lower supply than the RTX 4090 was at launch.
