Doesnt matter since both of these perform very similar unless you game beyond 1920 where 2GB kicks in and shows its muscle..:)

Your cabby already supports > 10" longer cards

NZXT Gamma

You can't even go wrong with GTX 560, grab one which is cheaper and fits your cabby :)
Thanks for ur advice... :)

Between the GTX 560 Ti and the HD 6950 1GB, there is absolutely no confusion - the HD 6950 it is. The only worry being the slightly higher load temperatures and the fan being noisier - I suppose you can live with that.

Desecrator i need ur little help... is HD6950 can fit in my cabby? On the NZXT Gamma box it is written that 10.5" cards wud fit in this cabby... i am just confused that whether Gamma can actually take in a 10.5" card or its just a marketing gimmick :)

How noisy? Thinking of biting the bullet.

Another question, how long can I pull my "khatara" on the VX450? If I add the 6950 to the first rig in my siggy?

No OC for me. Ever!

EDIT: And I presume the CM590 would take the 6950.

^Not as much as ummm say the 4850 which was more like a hair drier. :P

Just that it as not any nosier than the fans says the reviews. But the GTX 560 Ti was a lot more silent in comparison. The VX can easily power the GPU without breaking a sweat. And yes the CM690 has plenty of room to accommodate the card. :)

CM Centurion 590 it is :), anyway both are dimensionally pretty close. Hmm, gotto read the reviews carefully. I need a card which is silent at idle (idle = coding/browsing/reading/music) don't care about noise at load as anyway the speakers would envelop that noise :P.

For 1080p the current crop of midrange cards(ie 6850/GTX 460/HD 6870) will serve you well, but only for about the next one year or so. As more demanding games come out, of course you will have to turn down the details. If you intend on keeping the card for 2 years plus then i strongly suggest you go for a 2 GB card. The 6950 2 GB can be unlocked to the 6970 as well and currently it is the best VFM solely due to that reason
