O/S or MSE? STRANGE PROBLEM

Hi,

I have a weird problem and lets see if we all together can work it out. I have windows 7 64 bit on my Intel DG33FB with Intel E6550, 4GB DDR2 RAM and have GENUINE ESET smart security 4 installed on it. Windows is fully updated and system running fine.

I last week decided to install MSE, it installs fine and updates smooth too. The problem starts after an hour of install, it starts to heat up my system. Before installing MSE, my mobo is at 39*c, my cpu at 37*c and after an hour of install my mobo is at 54*c and cpu at 71*c.

I have no over-heating issues with my system whatsoever. There is no other software or anti-malware proggie that starts on startup.

Would appreciate any suggestions.
 
^^its surprising that MSE have increased your system. I think this is not related, even if MSE uses 100% CPU, then also 34C rise in CPU temps is not possible considering your cooling system is good.

BTW i will suggest you to uninstall MSE and go for Eset, as it is better then the former

Hi m8,

ty for replying, yes eset better the mse anyday but this is frustrating and i have no clues as to why is MSE heating my system and yes even if it uses cpu 100%, it shouldnt be heating this much, i have also raised this issue to microsoft support but unfortunately no replies.
 
i am also using MSE with win7 x64 but never experienced a problem like this

may be there is some other cause to this problem

yes they do come down to normal 38*c

Hi m8,

1. Uninstalled MSE, temps back to normal

2. Uninstalled ESET with MSE on, no change same temps
