Selling a phone to a buyer in Mumbai. Will be shipping by DTDC. Will there be any Octroi charges for the phone?

Better you disclose real value of phone, if second hand Right Second Hand on Voucher & Price (of course reduced price as it's second hand) & STICK on package so any one can see it especially Octrio collector.
DTDC used to call Buyer & ask him whether buyer is ready to pay Ocrio or not if you say yes than (if you are lucky) they will provide EXACT Octrio VALUE receipt & collect same from buyer but in my case they always give DTDC slip (they keep loose leaflet of blank DTDC receipt in their pocket & when I ask Octrio Paid Receipt they just write the Octrio charges collect from me & went away saying DTDC paid lump-sump Octrio & latter we divide as per product cost) though I'm sure that Octrio collected from me NEVER went with DTDC but the person who delivered the product at my place.
PS: My suggestion for you to go with Blue Dart may be costly but TOTAL peace of mind for both Buyer & Seller, if buyer agrees ask for 50% or 25% share of Shipping charges.

I really can`t afford to send it by Blue Dart. I have also mentioned in my listing, that the buyer is responsible for Octroi. Will there be any hassle in this transaction?

Sent the phone through Overnite Express. Surprised that no octroi was charged for the item. Could someone tell me about Pune.
