Hello guys have been using office 2003 for the past 2 years. Now i want to use the latest version of office which is 2010. But i find that there are so many bugs in it, for ex. if i double tap C holding ctrl key, the office clipboard should show up (as in the case of office 2003). But nothing happens even if i select the appropriate option to show it.

Next is, i have entered a lot of words under auto-text and this feature doesnt seem to work during auto-format. For ex. i am typing 1), it gets into the paragraph mode automatically (which is initiated by the auto-format feature) and the autotext never works during this time. Only if i manually select he paragraph button on the office ribbon bar the autotext feature works.

Under win7 in office 2k10, i am not able to add folders in my places. If i click open i get the tools option in the right bottom but there is no option to include a folder in MY PLACES. But under winxp the same option appears in the left bottom (open dialog box) and i can add a folder under it. This is a very essential feature and i dont know why it refuses to work under win 7.

Please give me a solution for these issues guys. Also tell me if there is any other issue apart from these and do provide me a solution for them also.

Very frustrating guys... Plz help

Thanx in advance....

1. Select some text and then double tap C while holding Ctrl. Should open up the Clipboard.

2. No idea.

3. File >> Open >> Navigate to the folder you want to add >> Right click in the my places bar below the existing shortcuts >> You should have an option that says Add "folder name" to My Places - Click on this. You can also rearrange the folders on my places bar - right click on the folder > Move up/down.

sorry but the 2nd issue is, the auto paragraph numbering issue. Only when i click the para numering icon the autotext works. you understood my query right ?.
For the others will try and report back....
Thanx....

Thanx a lot mate. The office clipboard works now. But the my places option isnt visible under windows 7 ultimate but it is visible under windows xp. Think there is some bug which requires a fix. But IMO the office 2003 was very simple in many aspects. But i am fed up of the old toolbar style in 2003 and the print options under 2k10 are awesome. So i am forced to use 2k10 inspite of some difficulties.

Is there any free tool which can be used to backup the office autotext and autocorrect entries under 2k10 ?. Currently i backup the entries in the appdata directory and use it with other pcs. But i need a proper solution for this. There is one software office settings backup wizard but that isnt freeware..

Repped you....
