netwo.jpg

now two options in my mind:
1. net connection in compII and I shares it from II
or net connection in 1 and II shares from 1

important thing is that comp 1 has two printers which should have access from comp2

are windows xp and windows 7 work properly wen connected over a network???

Need help from TE veterans as i don't have any experience in handlin wifi connections and are all the above criteria possible over wifi...and wat about wlan security and unauthorized access????
thanks in advance
Rajkumar:)

Okay its fine, you will need a router and a wireless dongle if they are far apart and not connectable with a wire.

Install printers on 1 computer and then share them on the network from that computer.

Go to the 2nd computer and add those printers as your printers from the network.

Real easy

^ If there are only two PC's you wont need a router. You can do ad-hoc wireless network. What type of internet connection you've? Most connections allow you to configure a router so that you can use the connection independently on both the PCs. In such a case you can buy a router also. Printer and files could be easily shared once you've the network setup.

For that adhoc thing, he will need to have 2 lan adapters cause he needs to have internet too and then he will need to do ICS. A router on the other can solve a lot of problems if in future he decides to add another computer or maybe take a network printer.
