Dreamlinux is now my absolute favorite Debian Linux Distro. It is a newish Distro produced by 4 guys with very little funding except the support given by users. They do an awesome job, and with a little more work and support, it will be a contender to Ubuntu soon enough. I really believe this Distro has a bright future

yep dreamlinux initial steps look good.

but i doubt , it can challenge ubuntu

I am quite sure that it will take a fair amount of time and they will likely have to get some help and investment, but potentially down the road, i think they have a chance as long as they keep along the same path they are already on.

the ubuntu ~/.bashrc is really nifty.

# ~/.bashrc: executed by bash(1) for non-login shells.

# don't put duplicate lines in the history. See bash(1) for more options

export HISTCONTROL=ignoredups

# check the window size after each command and, if necessary,

# update the values of LINES and COLUMNS.

shopt -s checkwinsize

# make less more friendly for non-text input files, see lesspipe(1)

don't get me wrong.. I really like Ubuntu... look at my Avatar :D I still like it a lot, but I really like Dreamlinux... and I guess I tend to always rout for the little guy ;)

I have Ubuntu on my Laptop, I tend to play only so much with stuff like the ~/.bashrc, mostly with aliases to make my life a little easier :P
