All Official Sites are compiled and reviewed by our editors. While Official Find does not accept submissions from web sites we do welcome suggestions of sites that may not yet be in our database - or requests for specific sites that you may be having trouble locating.
Our criteria for adding sites are fairly simple. We focus primarily on popular commercial brands and sites that consumers seek out most frequently - and which tend to have the most Search Spam associated with them.
Search Spam generally comes from small web site owners who try to trick Search Engines into ranking their site higher in the web search results for their own commercial gain. As a result the "Official Site' may sometimes be pushed down or off the first page of results.
When we have Official Sites that match your query we'll display them in the Official Sites module at the top of the page. It's clearly marked with the red, round "Official Sites" logo.
Tips for Using Official Find
We've designed Official Find to return results from our Official Sites database only when we think a user may be looking for a specific brand, company, product or service.
For instance, if a users types in "Ford Mustang" we'll return the Official Sites for "Ford" and for the "Ford Mustang". However, if a user just types in "Sports Car" we won't return any Official Sites from our database because it's not obvious that the user is looking for any particular brand or specific company.

- Looking For Official Sites: When you're looking for the Official Site of a company the "Official Sites" module at the top of the page with the "Official Sites" logo is the best place to look. If we do not have a match in our database the Web Results section and then Sponsored Links section are the next best places to look, in that order.
- Shopping for Products or Services: When you're shopping to for a product or service the Sponsored Links section is often your best bet.
- Seeking Information: The Web Results area is the best place to look for results for informational searches.
