These phones with HTC LOGO are not OEM or made by HTC.its 100% replica phone.Also its IMEI number system has to be verified by Indian mobile Operators as its selling with other on market IMEI Nos: so it will take time by mobile operators to block these nos.

please keep in mind that nobody is authorised to make windows mobile without any brand,company conformances etc, even with microsoft, marvell elec or even HTC.

as long as the seller is saying it that is an OEM i dont think he is cheating ... all china mobiles are rubbish so y will one buy a china mobile .. i am sure a buyer will read the item description before buying it ....so even for a layman this is a fake phone which u can figure out by reading the description ...

i do not think ebay india is an " ocean of fakes" ..u have to read the item description and make ur decision ...u also can return the item if its fake .... for buyers, ebay india is still the best place to get good deals.. u can set ebay india as a benchmark for any prices..

their paisa pay system protects the buyer ... i am not an ebay india employee to promote all this but i but all my stuff from ebay as local dealers cannot match the ebay price.

all imported mobile phone accessories are available only on ebay india and global easy buy if u go buy them from ur local store it will cost u a bomb .

just look at the iphone 4 pricce on ebay india deal of the week today . u wont get that price anywhere in India .
 
The fact that its a replica is clear by just reading the listing. So its not fooling anyone unless someone is stupid enough to order it without reading properly even after noticing that the price to too good to be true.

Just because someone is manufacturing in the bulk in china does not mean that they cannot get legit IMEI's for their phones and don't underestimate the Chinese factories. Even the those much famed iPhone and iPad that Americans seem to love so much gets manufactured on similar assembly lines in china. In fact the same factory may be churning out the uber priced gadget that you love some much along side the cheapo replicas.
 
As per IMEI rule , only authorized manufacturers will only get valid IMEI for manufacturing,also these phones are not manufactured in factories were iphone or other branded phones produced, it just made by few small integrators only.

Why the IMEI numbers still act as valid !

The idea is just a trick !! these phones programmed with IMEI numbers of any forthcoming models or series of any branded phone, to be released in 3-6 months.They collects the same details from some Govt: or related source and makes the same !!!Even they get supports from former mobile factory staffs too.
