Graphic Cards Omega drivers.. to use or not to use?

Hi..

I have a Geforce 7600GS. I was wondering if anyone here used Omega drivers for the card, or the ones that come bundled with the card itself. Do they give any performance advantage?

just use the latest drivers from nvidia's site

omega drivers are the same thing with a bit of performance tuning

Quite frankly, i haven't seen much of an improvement in nvidia cards using omega drivers. They seem to perform better for ati cards. And omega drivers are not officially supported, and they are non whql. So unless you know what you are doing, its better to stick to the official nvidia drivers

stick to the new nvidia drivers...i think they are good enough

I use the NGO Nvidia optimized drivers and they have given me the maximum overclock on my graphics card. Give them a try : NGOHQ

NGOHQ for more FPS. Dhzer0point for better quality. I am using Dhzer0point

Optimized drivers? Thats new on me. Which ones for ATI cards?

And what are the pitfalls?

I've had problems running with Omega drivers on OpenGL based games. Besides, there's not much of an improvement on the original drivers. Haven't tried NGO though.
