1)when i mount the dvd iso using daemon tools it autoruns.

These are the MD5 hash .from vista rc2 download page .now how do i check the integrity ?

Signatures of the ISO files:
32-Bit
MD5 hash: 83cee5f1642d094670147c5350c57762
SHA1 hash: 067CA4F94D001DE6276F08F76EF0780592B64BFD

i already have the tool FILECHECKMD5 ..but how to use it ???please if possible tell me step by step..

what i have done is by specifying the folder containing. the *iso. file i have clicked on MAKE CHECK FILE ? and the should i open check file to test integrity ?

is this what i am supposed to do ?

is this the message that i should get ?

Testing MD5 sums in E:\vista rc2\FCMD5-sums.MD5

OK: E:\vista rc2\vista_5744.16384.061003-1945_x86fre_client-lrmcfre_en_dvd.iso

Operation complete.

1 files tested.

EVERY FILE APPEARS OK!

ok thnx for the help...but still cant belive my 64kbps connection gave a download speed of 208kbps.....

Sify usually goes on steroids sometimes, i have many friends who have experienced 2mb/sec download speed. Preety scary sometimes cause it only stays for couple of hours during night time..

akS !

but this happend in the early morning time...and within 2-3 hours whooosh 2.5 gb was downloaded !!

now what if sify cuts my expiry date as per there rule of 150mb \day download from 8 am- 10 pm ??-1 day cut per 25 mb extra -can i say that its not my fault..as i am on a 64 kbps connection and how is it possible that 2.5 gb downloaded in ..2.5 hrs ??...

alos the time period in which the file was downloaded is not being shown in my session details..

means there are session details updated for before the start of download and after the download...but not the time in which the file was downloaded..

!!!

Yes as i told Sify has some wierd stuff going in for it sometimes when they have changes in servers or something. Things like "Auto Renew" take place without even paying for it...

Btw WTF are you doing with a 8kb/sec download limit connection ?

alS !

i have no other option dude !!as i am a student..i have only a limit of arnd 400-450 for the broadband...and sify 64kbps unlimited plan is the only one tht fits in this buget as i need an unlimited plan...and the MTNL triband..has only data limit plans in this range..and there are no other service providers in my area...if u can suggest something better..in 400-450 ..it would be gr88...

if you have downloaded from the microsoft website , it is possible since the microsoft website is cached by sify .

also due to a new court ruling all broadband speeds start with a minimum 256 conn and older plans have been / will be scrapped . this is being enforced as we speak . similar situations with exatt net .

2.6 gigs in 3 hours??:O.
A gig/hr :O.OMG...

@KK: Sify does offer 64kbps unlimited plans.

yes ..dude ...2.6 gigs in 2-3 hrs..with around 204 kbps average download speed.....:ohyeah: :ohyeah:
and yes sify does offer 64 kbps unlimited but it is not termed as broadband plan...according to sify...
and the main reason i am not leaving sify is due to my local DC++ hubs..from where i can download at around 2-3 mbps..and play LAN games with good fps with my local friends having sify broadband...

I know. What I am saying is that they don't advertise them as broadband.

thats the same thing...i want to say...lol..yeah the sify ppl ...are quiet intelligent ..

did anyone notice the download start time and the end time its almost 24 hrs

but it says only 3 hrs... it happens in flashget when u pause and resume a download... then the total speed is calculated on the total file size and the last session time... whic usually is wrong...
