Since the past week, or maybe from the week before that, my onboard lan "Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller" isn't working.

Although at times there is green light in the jack when I boot the system, it goes away after the windows logo disappears, and after that there is no light and in the control panel, the NIC has yellow explanation mark to it, saying "This device cannot start (Error 10)."

So I thought maybe the drivers are screwed up, I did a complete wipe of my OS drive as I found that to be convenient, reinstalled Win7 x64. Same Issue. Cleaned again, Installed WinXP x86, Same Issue.

Tried different driver version, but to no avail.

Now I'm beginning to think, the issue is with the hardware.

What say?

P.S. - At times after a cold boot, it would come alive again and stays that way until I kill the power from the UPS.

This happens completely randomly.

Specs are as under..

its possibly be a hardware fault, may be caused via any spike/surges from cable/net line !. if board is under warranty ,they will replace/repair the same,.else get a rs.200 below LAN card (PCI)and enjoy. There seems to be no issue with driver or OS (i think so)!!!.

Hmm.. anything else that could possibly be causing this, that I can for at my end?

Also this board is from Neotric, Anyone know how their RMA service is?
