Is there a cure for the framerate problem in Onimusha 3? I downloaded the patch to update it to version 1.1 that also didn't work. I found another patch as big as 35 mb which also didn't help but to some extent made it worse. Has anyone managed to run this game at a good pace. I don't understand why this game lags when DMC3:SE runs perfectly on my system.

I am using:
P4 2.66 GHz
1 GB Ram
xfx geforce 5200 fx 256 mb vram

That must be because they are crappy ports of console games. Even DMC3 does not run the way it should on a PC.

I know I have to use joytokey to play DMC3 because the game has an axis problem. The directions on the left analog stick goes on changing and sometimes both the analog sticks are to be used to control direction. But atleast once one uses joytokey DMC3 is playable. In onimusha no matter what I do the framerate just doesn't improve.

Yeah, I too had that problem with DMC3. Not only even the FPS which ought be higher than 100~150 FPS on a 1900XT for the kind of graphics in the game, stayed below 75 no matter what. Thank god that it was at-least smooth. So if thats anything to go by, a GeForce 5200 may not cut it for this game.

DMC3 runs perfectly on my system. I don't know how ubisoft screwed up all these games while porting them.
Resident Evil 4 -> Nightmare for anyone using keyboard and mouse. Mouse not supported and even on the game pad you require 2 buttons and the analog stick to just shoot or to use knife for slashing. Not to mention the aiming is controlled by the directional analog stick and not the camera analog stick which is a bit weird 'cause I would like my character to move a bit while shooting to avoid the zombies. Not to mention the camera angle no matter how much you change it it resets to the default angle.

Onimusha 3 -> Framerate nightmare. Could have been an excellent game for anyone with a gamepad and a pc & no console like me. But it is sad the only thing it does right is install securom properly. Fortunately securom can be easily removed unlike starforce.

Devil May Cry 3 -> The only problem this game has thrown at me so far is the axis problem. Took a while to fix it but works perfectly.

These were excellent games on consoles. And that is it.

May be. But Ubisoft ain't stupid to release a patch stating framerate issue if there wasn't one.
